Hywel Dowsell

Hywel Dowsell was born and raised in South Wales before training as an actor at The Guildford School of Acting.

His performing credits include: The Phantom of the Opera(West End), The Phantom of the Opera (UK Tour), Peter Pan(Capitol Horsham), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat(Kilworth House Theatre), Sleeping Beauty(Capitol Horsham), The Hound of the Baskervilles (The Barn Theatre), Jack and the Beanstalk(Capitol Horsham), Mack and Mabel(Hackney Empire), Candide(Cadogan Hall), Honeymoon in Vegas - concert(London Palladium), Beauty and the Beast(Playhouse Weston-super-Mare), Peter Pan(Hazlitt Theatre) Willy Wonka the Musical (Centrepoint Dubai), A Midsummer Night’s Dreamand Macbeth(UK and International Tours).

Hywel directed the Trinity Theatre’s first ever pantomime, Cinderellawhich broke Christmas box-office records and led to his return to direct Sleeping Beautyin Tunbridge Wells.

He was assistant director for Peter Panand Sleeping Beautyat the Capitol Horsham and also for Beauty and the Beastat the Playhouse Weston-super-Mare.

As well as his passion for Pantomime and comedy, Hywel has assisted on several musical theatre projects throughout his career.

Lisa Mathieson

Lisa Mathieson trained at the Arts Educational Schools London, receiving a First Class BA Hons in Musical Theatre.

Originally from Scotland, Lisa is a triple threat performer and Choreographer/Associate Choreographer working in theatre and TV.

She has worked all over the world from the UK to Germany, China to Las Vegas, as well as dealing with large scale Theatre and Cruise productions in the West End and on board NCL.

Lisa has also worked on main stage arenas including the NEC Birmingham and the Manchester Arena where she recently managed a performance for BBC Big Night of the Musicals to a live audience of 24,000 people.

Lisa is currently the Associate Choreographer for the hit musical Mrs Doubtfire at the Shaftesbury Theatre in the West End.

She also helped cast the new production of The Producers at the Chocolate Factory for the same Choreographer, Lorin Lattaro.

She has appeared in numerous musicals including, Something Rotten, Mrs Doubtfire, What’s New Pussycat, Merry Widow, Dusty, Groundhog Day, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Anything Goes, Spamalot, We Will Rock You, to name a few.

During the pandemic Lisa was lucky enough to do some work on the Matilda movie and The Grinch Live for NBC and Sky.

Her choreography credits include: The Pub Show (NCL Cruise Line), Rab McHood and the Sheriff of Shettleston (Oran Mor, Theatre Glasgow), Comic Relief Does Glee Club (CBBC), Out There (Union Theatre London), Marks and Spencer’s live trade shows and corporate events for O2.

She has also choreographed performances at some of the most prestigious Performing Arts colleges in the country.

Lisa continues to coach performers around the country, with the mission to help the next generation to have fulfiling and successful careers.
